The big Hole at Cullinan Diamond Mine

In 1905, one of the greatest events in diamond history took place when an enormous diamond, weighing 3106 carats, was found only a mere 9 m from the surface. It was named after Thomas Cullinan and still remains the largest diamond ever.
Since the discovery of diamond pipes in the world, it was established that the Cullinan Diamond Pipe is the oldest pipe inthe world.
The mine is still fully operational today and is the source of some of the world's largest gemstones such as the Cullinan, Premier Rose, Niarchos, the Centenary and the Golden Jubilee

De Wildt Cheetah Project

A lot can be said about Elephant Interaction programs. I feel that the Elephants need to be able to roam freely in a natural environment and they need to be happy.
They can eat when they want to and stand in the shade when they wish. The family is still a unit with mother and calf very much part of the program.
I am happy that I found this retreat, come share it with us
